Album 02
A deeply personal second album — a meditation on four decades of life, craft, and self-reflection. Contrabass, voice, and silence in equal measure.
Album 01
The debut — eleven tracks blending electroacoustic textures, jazz, and the poetry of Shamlou, Mossadegh, and Shafiee Kadkani. Azar performs contrabass, electric piano, synthesizer, theremin, and drum machine throughout.
Dariush Azar was born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. He began his musical studies at age 10 — Orff method, tombak, piano, clarinet, and classical vocals — before entering Tehran University of Arts to specialize in double bass in 2002.
